About M.A.G.O. Cafe

M.A.G.O Cafe stands for Maids. Anime. Gaming. Otaku.
Previously known as Otaku Cafe; M.A.G.O Cafe is UK based fusion popup maid cosplay cafe. We provide delicious authentic Japanese/English food, drinks and treats provided by our friendly themed maids. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and fun plus all of our customers are treated with the care and undivided attention they all deserve. You can play games, take photos and partake in fun competitions with our maids. It is an experience like no other and we welcome everyone of all ages to join us!

 

 

Background

After travelling to Japan a few times (Since 2011), a friend and I experienced the maid cafe franchise in many different ways, this ranged from quirky to weird. We had so much fun and enjoyed the interaction with every cafe we visited, so it only seemed right to want to share those experiences. Because of these experiences it was felt that the UK deserved to feel how we felt when being surrounded in this atmosphere. From that moment on the Cafe was created so that I could bring a similar experience to those that cannot travel to Japan themselves.

 

Since 2016 we had re-worked and re-configured ways to bring an even bigger and better experience for a much wider demographic. This includes building a new website, re-branding and re-designing our look and name. Joining forces with an Otaku Cafe supporter, we went through planning, better research and came up with a way to get more people involved in the franchise. Because of this M.A.G.O Cafe was created.
